Currently working on customization of Quickr Newsletter 8.x.
Here are the steps so far
Web Browsers
- Create a [test] place from the standard template
Lotus Designer
- Opens the [test] place
- Create a daily newsletter agent (can be Java/Lotus Script/etc)
- Export it as a [filename1] file Download Daily Newsletter
- Create a weekly newsletter agent (can be Java/Lotus Script/etc)
- Export it as a [filename2] file Download Weekly Newsletter
NB: attached are just examples and you may need to modify to suit your needs
Web Browsers
- Upload these agents as placebots in a [test] place using previously exported file
Lotus Notes
- Goes to the [test] place and open "System->Agents" view
- Copied the 2 documents (previously uploaded from the web browsers as placebots)
- Paste these copied documents to the [h1_meetingroom.ntf] located under "LotusQuickr/AreaType" folder
Lotus Designer
- Make the placebot form "default" database form (so can edit the h_SystemName later)
- Coped the actual (daily and weekly) agents from [test] place and pasted to [h1_meetingroom.ntf]
- Get the UNID of these agents
Lotus Notes
- Go to (daily and weekly) agent documents and change "h_SystemName" to the actual agents UNID
Lotus Designer
- Remove the placebot form as a "default" database form
Now if the new place created from the standard place [h1_meetingroom.ntf] will have the customize newsletter agent.
This process can be done similarly to for Blog and Wiki place
